1. Activities for Youth Employability and Social Entrepreneurship

  • Research and Insights:

– Conducted research to assess skills discrepancy and evaluate social entrepreneurship in VET schools and CSOs, with a focus on crafts.

  • Tailored Program Development:

– Designed self-employment programs for VET school graduates.
– Developed programs promoting social entrepreneurship and community impact.

  • Tools and Cooperation Models:

– Established 10 collaborative agreements (MoUs) with private and public stakeholders.
– Created 2 strategic proposals:

a) 1 for youth engagement in private/public sectors.
b) 1 for youth participation in co-creation policies.
c) Identified 4 policy gaps for improvement proposals.

  • Educational and Policy Outputs:

– Proposed a social entrepreneurship program submitted to VET centers for integration into curricula.

– Organized 4 Youth Skill Camps, engaging 200 students in vocational education, self-employment, and social innovation.

– Consulted with 4 external stakeholders across public, private, and education sectors to develop four program scopes (VET skills, self-employment, social entrepreneurship, and employment).

  • Pilot Incubator Established:

– Created the “VET Youth Success Hub”, serving 100 individuals, including 60 young people (30 women) who have transitioned to self-employment.

– Organized 5 informative workshops and 3 round tables, generating three actionable policy proposals.

2. Strengthened Capacities of CSOs Working with VET Students

  • Designed and implemented a grant scheme and methodology.
  • Launched 1 open call, resulting in 5 signed contracts.
  • Delivered 4 CSO training sessions, covering:

– Introduction to Project Management.
– Project Planning and Initiation.
– Project Execution and Monitoring.
– Project Closure and Evaluation.

3. National Skill Competition for Youth Employability and Self-Employment

  • Established criteria aligning with WorldSkills Europe standards.
  • Created 14 evaluation programs.
  • Organized 1 National Skill Competition with:

56 participants, including 4 with special needs.
42 awards
400 visitors from elementary schools.
Support for 20 top competitors in employment and self-employment.

What Will Be Achieved?

The project will:

  1. Empower youth with practical skills for employment, self-employment, and social entrepreneurship.
  2. Strengthen CSOs and VET institutions to provide tailored training, mentorship, and policy support.
  3. Promote cooperation among public, private, and civil sectors through innovative models and strategic proposals.
  4. Foster entrepreneurship and innovation by creating resources like the VET Youth Success Hub, skill camps, and competitions.
  5. Enhance employability by linking education with the job market and addressing skills gaps.

The “Youth Empower” project ensures young people are equipped with the tools and opportunities to thrive, contributing to sustainable community development and social innovation.
